Credits are the simple unit for AI usage in Fachsprachtrainer. A short text correction uses a little, while detailed documentation scoring or a longer conversation uses more. You do not need to understand technical billing — you only see roughly what a practice action costs.
2. Why free credits exist
Free credits are not a limited demo. They let you try the real AI training every month: history-taking, case presentation, documentation feedback, scoring, medical language, and mock-exam practice. That usage has real operating cost, and we intentionally cover it so you can test the product before paying.
3. Why voice uses more credits
Realtime voice practice for history-taking or case presentation is more demanding than text. It processes live audio, keeps the conversation moving, and needs to respond quickly. That is why a longer voice session uses more credits than a short text correction.
4. What resets monthly
Free credits and plan credits apply per month. They are provided for the current period, reset afterward, and do not roll over into the next month. This keeps cost and usage predictable for everyone.
5. What we show before larger actions
For more expensive actions — such as voice practice, documentation scoring, evaluation, or mock-exam feedback — we show the credit cost where practical before you start.
6. Billing and learning progress stay separate
Stripe manages payments and subscriptions. Fachsprachtrainer manages your learning progress, results, and activity separately. If you run out of credits, your learning history is not lost.
7. Why AI practice is not unlimited
Unlimited AI usage sounds attractive, but it would not be honest with real voice, feedback, and evaluation costs. Fixed monthly credits keep the product affordable, transparent, and reliable without hidden technical details or surprise add-ons.
